Our four-phased approach to healing

Depending on which phase you are in there are guidelines and expectations as well as opportunities for independence.

Progression through the phases will be determined by your length of time in the program, your stability in recovery, adherence to program guidelines, active participation in community life, and movement toward your goals for health, personal growth, education and employment.

Successful completion of each phase is required for a resident to progress to the next. However, the length of stay in each phase is at the discretion of the program team. Phase extensions can be granted on a case-by-case basis but will not exceed 60 days. If survivor is not fulfilling the phase requirements by the completion of the extension, there will be a staffing about further participation in the residential program.

Graduation & Beyond

Graduation

After two years in the residential program, women become candidates for graduation, a celebratory event that takes place each spring.

Following graduation, many women move into full-time positions with one of Different Days’ justice enterprises. Others take the skills they have acquired and pursue work elsewhere in the community.

Human Trafficing Criteria

If you are unsure if you meet the criteria of human trafficking. Please download the PDF with the button below.

Marcy Bartula, MSW

FOUNDING DIRECTOR

In 2015, there began to be a rise in human trafficking cases in the Brazos Valley. As I helped connect families to resources, I began to see the severe lack of services for survivors. I began to understand I had a strong passion and conviction to serve survivors of human trafficking; I had to be in the fight against it. I had a dream, serve survivors with a residential community to heal, house and employ survivors of human trafficking.
